December 1st Sparklers Squads Unite Blog Hop!

Happy December everyone and welcome to another Sparklers Squads Unite blog hop!  Today the Sparklers and I will be bringing you lots of December inspiration featuring the new sequin mixes in the shop!  There are also new cut files so check those out too!  Remember to comment on all of the posts for a chance to win a $10 shop credit!  You should have arrived here from Christy's blog, I'm sure you enjoyed her fun layout!  Here is my layout for the hop today!

I started with a Christmas tree cut file from The Cut Shoppe.  I used a piece of Maggie Homes Bloom paper.  I cut it out twice, using one as a backing for the tree.  I then I cut the second into scalloped pieces.  I adhered the pieces using my EZ Runner Grand.  Using the rest of the paper that I cut the tree from, I fringe cut pieces and sewed them on with my sewing machine.

I then used the same gold thread from my sewing machine to string this new sequin mix from the SMS shop!  I carefully glued each sequin down to mimic Christmas lights.

I made little presents with scrap paper from Pink Paislee Bella Rouge and Basic Grey Juniper Berry.  I tied a bit of bakers twine around them and even tucked a gorgeous Pink Felt Fetti Heart into one!  I placed a gold mirrored present from Pinkfresh Studios Oh Joy on top.

I used one of the new 8" Chantilly Lace Doilies from the shop to place my 5x7 photo on.  I also filled a Medium Glassine Bag with the same new sequin mix from the shop and sewed it shut with my sewing machine and tucked it next to my photo.

I added some Heidi Shine in Teal, Pink and Gold.  I embellished with enamel dots and shapes and a few Kaisercraft gems.  I added a Freckled Fawn glitter star and a mirrored star from Pinkfresh Studios Oh Joy.

I made a couple more little presents to tuck in next to my photo.  I added my title using the word Thickers from Maggie Homes Shine and the gold glitter alphas from Maggie Homes Bloom.  I also used a bow paperclip from Crate Paper Cute Girl.

I topped my tree off with a large gold star from American Crafts and added the date using my Becky Higgins roller date stamper!

I hope you have enjoyed my fun layout and you have seen how you do not need to use Christmas specific items to create a Christmas themed layout!  Next you are off to Hannah's blog!

Items I used from the SMS shop:
Chantilly Lace 8" White Paper Doily
Medium Glassine Bags
EZ Runner Grand
American Craft White Texture Cardstock
New Sequin Mixes!!!
Felties Die Cuts
