As I mentioned in my previous post, I make two page layouts for special occasions. I always make a two page spread for a numbered week, but when life is busy during summer, or the holidays, I end up taking a ton of photos. This also helps me to kill my Hip Kits. A few weeks ago I took my girls to our local beach. The pictures I got of the day were too awesome to just chose one or two to put in my regular week layout. A special two-pager was called for!
I once again used my Hip Kit Club June kit. It has a lot of Crate Paper Poolside in it along with some Crate Paper Journey and a bit from the new Fancy Pants summer release. I got the main kit and the Project Life add on. I also purchased the Poolside 6x6 paper pad and Poolside word chipboard thickers from a seller on Facebook called Devon's Scrapbook Sale. She has all the new goodies and cheap shipping.
I also picked up the mason jar embellishments and wood veneer bits from the Poolside collection at Crafts Direct. Crafts Direct is an amazing craft store in Waite Park, Mn. It is a 90 minute drive from my house, but worth the drive. After the demise of Archiver's the St. Paul/Minneapolis metro area is in dire need of a large scrapbook store. Sorry, Michael's, Joann, and Hobby Lobby. You just don't do it for me! Also featured on the spread are tiny pink letter stickers from Webster's Pages, miscellaneous enamel dots and DIY Shop gold sequin ribbon.
Thanks for visiting my scrappy blog! Look for more again tomorrow!
