Hello everyone and welcome to another Sparklers Squads Unite blog hop! There are
two squads on the team, a blog squad and a YouTube squad. On
the first of every month we will join up for a fun and inspiring blog hop!
The prize every month for the hop is a $10 credit to the SMS shop.
Since there is a HUGE Labor Day hop on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th, you will only have
one day to leave your comments on all of the blogs for a chance to win.
And don't forget that Khristina is creating a free cut file for every hop!
You should have arrived here from Lisa's blog!
My project for this hop is a set of three fun and easy bookmarks! I made these for
my 8 year old daughter for her first day of school. Here they are:
I started with a couple of old 6x8 Becky Higgins page protectors. I cut them
down to 4x4 and filled each one with a bunch of sequin mixes from the SMS shop
and a few goodies from my stash.
The first one I made using a few acetate bits from the Amy Tangerine Better Together collection.
I added a bunch of the Hot Right Now Sequins and a couple of the mix tape
ephemera pieces and a couple of wood veneer asterisks.
I threw in some chunky iridescent glitter from my stash and sewed it shut using
my sewing machine, but you could also use your Fuse tool for this. I toped it off with some miscellaneous ribbon and a beautiful leather hassle from Dear Lizzy Happy Place.
I made the second one using a few pieces of acetate and ephemera from the Imaginisce Hello Summer. Then I added some of the Sunny Smiles Mix, a few wood veneer hearts,
and more of the iridescent chunky glitter and sewed it shut. I also finished it
with some ribbon and a hassle from Maggie Holmes Shine.
For my last bookmark, I filled it with a few acetate pieces and ephemera from Dear Lizzy Happy
Place. I added some of the Spring Bloom Mix and a few wood veneer glasses and
sewed it shut. I added a few strands of ribbon and a tassel from Maggie Holmes Shine.
Thank you for hopping along with us today! Next you are off to Hanna's blog!
