Sparkler Squads Unite National Card Making Day Blog Hop!

Hello SMS fans and card-makers, too!  Today is National Card Making Day and the Sparkler Squads are having this hop to celebrate!  This will be a three day hop and if you comment on all of the posts you will have a chance to win a $10 SMS shop credit.  Sparkler Laura has made a fun heart cut file and Sparkler Khristina has also made cut files and has a link party up all month.  The SMS shop is moving and Jody is offering 35% off right now!  Use code MOVE35!!!

You should have arrived here from Christy's blog!  I'm sure you loved her card!  For my project today I created this card:

I started with a piece of water color paper that I trimmed down to 5x7 so it would fit into the hot pink envelope that I got from Hobby Lobby.

I filled a 4x6 Becky Higgins Fuse brand photo pocket with some of the Let's Be Mermaids Mix, a few of the pink sequins from the Mint Chip Mix and a good helping of the Fairy Dust.  I sewed it shut with my sewing machine and then sewed it onto my card.

I added the "Thank You" Thicker from the new Amy Tangerine line Oh Happy Life.  I used my typewriter to type out " Dear friend..." and adhered it to the pocket using my EZ Runner Grand.

I used a Hot Pink Heart Feltie to embellish and topped it with two enable hearts from my stash.  One from Amy Tangerine and one from Faith Illustrated.

I hope you enjoyed my quick and easy card!  Don't forget to keep hopping along for a chance to win that $10 shop credit!  Next you are off to Hannah's blog!  Enjoy!

Items I used from the SMS shop:
Hot Pink Heart Felties
EZ Runner Grand
Let's Be Mermaids
Mint Chip Sequins
