There will be new items released in the SpiegelMomScrapShop on Etsy today!  Hop over and check them out by clicking HERE!

The first challenge I did was for this layout sketch by Kat Benjamin.  Here is my take on it!

I used a 5x7 picture from my girls' Christmas photo shoot from Target this year!  The Poppin' Pink Flurries snowflake sequins were the perfect match for their outfits!  I really have enjoyed using nontraditional Christmas colors so far!  I chose a white 12x12 piece of card stock and used a specialty piece of gold chevron paper from Crate Paper Journey collection.  I used my sewing machine to sew a border around the edge of the layout.

I layered a few pieces of Maggie Holmes Open Book papers behind the photo and a piece of vellum with gold confetti from Maggie Holmes Confetti.  I even broke out my Cuttlebug and made a few white glitter snowflakes using a Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflake die.  Here you can see that I embellished with a few Gold Garland Confetti on top of a few splatters of Heidi Swapp Color Shine in black.

I used a few Cork-Fetti Hearts to add to my embellishment clusters with Birds Of A Feather felt feathers in white that I stitched onto the layout using my sewing machine.

I typed some of my title with my typewriter and typed out a few words to embellish with.  I layered my title on top of a 4" Gold Foil Doily.  For this spread I also used a few puffy stars from Crate Paper Journey, a few wooden sequins from Chic Tags, and my title Thickers are from Dear Lizzy Documentary.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog on my very first Blog Hop! Happy holidays and be sure to check back to see more holiday inspired projects, challenges, and prizes!
